Take the “Bored” out of Whiteboard
Say goodbye to boring power points! Bring science to life in your classroom using interactive whiteboard modules created by Girlstart.
Participants will learn important strategies for engaging students in science using intelligent boards. By participating as peer learners, teachers gain experience in seeing what it looks like when students are excited and fully engaged in STEM programming. This workshop will showcase interactive slides that can be used with any brand of interactive whiteboard.
Girlstart has developed successful methods for teaching STEM that include high quality, hands-on learning activities and experiences as well as formal exposure to math and science called the Girlstart Method. This methodology, based in documented principles of Constructivist teaching, has great value for reaching female, underserved or at-risk, as well as nontraditional learners.
